Paul & Company is pleased to announce an expanded legal service is now available for our clients, Solicitor Property Sales.

Traditionally there have been two principal methods for selling property in British Columbia - through a real estate agent or by selling privately. Solicitor Property Sales is a third alternative which permits the clients to have their lawyer involved the from the beginning of the process when the property is marketed to the end of the process when the property is sold.   

As your lawyer, we will represent only you, the vendor, throughout the entire sale process. You will therefore have the protection of legal representation from the beginning of the sale process though to its completion.

WHAT DO I GET FOR MY MONEY?

As with other legal services, we are willing to work on a contingency fee basis.   

Subject to the terms of the retainer agreement entered into, we will do the following:

Conduct land title search of property;

Obtain BC Assessment Authority information;

Obtain plan of subdivision from Land Title Office;

Obtain an independent appraisal of the value of the property;

Provide an opinion as to the appropriate market value of the property;

Prepare, display, and distribute sale particulars;

Erect and remove a "For Sale" sign;

Advertise in local newspapers and/or on our web site;

Provide information packages about the property to potential purchasers;

Show potential purchasers the property;

Review and advise you of any purchase offers;

Review and advise you on entering into a contract of purchase and sale;

Draft the necessary contract of purchase and sale;

Pay out and discharge any financial encumbrances on title;

Effect legal transfer of the title.
